James is such a wonderful guitar teacher! He’s kind and patient, has a real gift for music, and thankfully also has excellent taste in songs! He’s flexible with what we learn and makes every lesson fun. Learning guitar as an adult is no small feat, but James makes the whole process enjoyable and never makes me feel silly for being a beginner. Highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn guitar, no matter your age or skill level!

I've been taking lessons from James for about 18 months. In that time my understanding of music has grown enormously. I had been self-taught for a couple of years up to that point but I couldn't seem to fully grasp concepts such as modes. James has a knack for making the complicated simple and he's patiently taken me through the basics up to advanced topics. It's not all theory though. We work on rhythm playing, picking, soloing and even singing! We've put together a list of my favourites songs and we're working through them as if I was preparing for a gig. I highly recommend James to anyone looking to take their playing to the next level.
