James has been playing guitar for about 15 years and studied music at university. He teaches guitar and piano from his home studio in South Melbourne, to students of all ages and levels, with a love of rock, country, fingerpicking and blues on guitar.

He's also a working singer-songwriter. He has been writing songs since he was 14 and performs his own folk, Americana and country music, which you can hear on Spotify. That experience of writing and playing live goes into every lesson, whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or sharpening skills you already have.
